Kathaleen A. Brennand, age 95, of Oshkosh, passed away on November 24, 2018 at Eden Meadows. She was born on November 14,1923 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Joseph and Beulah (Peake) Gafney. She married George Thomas Brennand on July 26, 1947 in St. John's Catholic Church. He preceded her death on August 30, 2012. Kathaleen was a lifetime member of St. John's Catholic Church. She and George farmed and raised pure bred Holsteins. She earned her teaching degree from Rural Elementary Division of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and taught school for 5 years in Winnebago County.
Kathaleen is survived by and her memory will be cherished by two sons, Michael (Teri) Brennand and Patrick Brennand, both of Oshkosh; two daughters, Mary Margaret Wegener of Waukesha and Eileen (Tom Polzin) Brennand of Oshkosh; a sister, Mary Grace Vogt of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Scott, Rhea and Joshua Brennand; a great-granddaughter, Evelyn Mueller and her father, Jon Mueller; a son-in-law, Price Zimmerman; a daughter-in-law, Ellen Brennand. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas; a daughter, Kathaleen Zimmerman; a grandson, Lee Brennand; a granddaughter, Sara (Brennand) Mueller; a son-in-law, Michael Diener; infant siblings, Enid and Joseph; two brother-in-laws, Gerrie Vogt and Bill Brennand; her grandparents,Robert (Mary) Peake and Lawrence and Bridget Gafney.
Funeral services for Kathaleen will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11 am in the Fiss & Bills-Poklasny Funeral Home, 865 S. Westhaven Drive with the Rev. Fr. Augustine Serafini officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Catholic Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers please, a memorial fund will be established. The family wishes to thank the staff at Eden Meadows for the compassionate care and concern that was extended to Kathaleen. The family also wishes to thank Kathaleen's caregivers, Kaylee Marvin, Gail Hulen, Samantha Hodge, Debra Schnell and special friend Charlotte Villwock.
