Mary E. Latham, 69, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away November 23, 2018 at her home, with her devoted daughter by her side.

Although she was an April Fool's baby, her life that began in 1949 was no joke.
We could mention about her 29 years of working for the City of Parkersburg, or her involvement with the DAV, AMVETS, and VFW, but what really made Mamaw special was her heart. It was so big and strong. It had room for everyone she crossed paths with. She would give you her last dollar or her time without expectation and she loved without condition.

She enjoyed laughing with her family, music and dancing and singing, crocheting, fishing, and being the best Mamaw in the whole wide world.

Mamaw is survived by her daughter Stephanie; six grandchildren Kymara, Amber (Scooter), Trey (Miriah), Adrian, Niki, and Brittany; five great-grandchildren Jayna, Kevin, Emmitt, Lily, and Tala; five siblings, Sue (John), Cora (Larry), Pat (Larry), Ron (Derwin), and Angie; dear friends Ron A., Sam K., Karen F., Hiromi T, and Eiichi O ; and several nieces, nephews, and friends that became family.

Mamaw is now dancing in the sky with her parents Ernest J. and Ruth E. Stephens; two brothers Jim and Ernie; her former husband James whom she loved dearly; and my Papaw Lee.

Join us as we celebrate the life of Mamaw on Monday December 3, 2018 at Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg at 1 PM. Visitation will be held Sunday December 2, 2018 5 PM to 8 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg. Burial to follow at Evergreen South Cemetery.
