Eunice E. Stockdell, 78, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Hawthorne Manor in Peoria surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 21, 1940 in Peoria, Illinois to Elmer and Olive (Hunt) Burdette. She married Ronald J. Mutton in September of 1960. Later she married Phillip L. Stockdell on May 2, 1969 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2015 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Mutton of Peoria, Illinois; three siblings, Lloyd Burdette of East Peoria, Illinois, Marjorie Miller of South Carolina and Velma Peters of Bartonville, Illinois. She has many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews surviving. Eunice worked in the office at Foster and Gallagher from 1972 to 1990 and later worked several years at the Circle of Life. She bowled in multiple leagues throughout the years from 1969-2008. Eunice was an avid softball player in the Peoria area playing with her daughter on women’s and coed teams for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time at the Par-a-dice and made many trips with family on gambling outings. Family reunions were of most importance to her. A visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4-6 pm at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Cremations rites will follow the visitation. Memorials may be made to the Red Cross or to the Hanna City United Methodist Church.
