Gaffney, SC - - Jimmy Nathan Allman, Sr., 82, of 137 Arrowhead Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Oneonta, AL, he was the husband of Margaret Averlonia Mullinax Allman and son of the late Howard Guy Allman and Ruth Langston Allman. He retired from Cherokee Finishing, loved gardening and was a member of Abingdon Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Bud Allman and wife, Amy of Fingerville; three daughters, Kathy Puckett and husband, Roy of Oneonta, AL, Carol Cobb and husband, Robert, of Gaffney and Debra Chandler and husband, George, of Blacksburg; a stepson, Johnny Blackwell of Gaffney; three step-daughters, Wanda Ragstole and husband, Richard of Gaffney, Tammie Ramsey and husband, Foy Lee of Blacksburg and Charlotte Holcomb and husband, Boyd of Gaffney; a sister, Margaret Dover of Oneonta, AL; 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Magnum, a step-son, Roger Blackwell and three brothers, Arvel Allman, Bob Allman and Ray Allman.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Abingdon Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM at the Church with Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Interment will be in Abingdon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scotty Dover, Craig Dover, Jamie Ragstole, William Holcomb, Justin Holcomb and Jonathan Blackwell.
