Verna was born September 17, 1925 to Clifford and Ellene Key Adcock near Spearsville and she passed peacefully November 29, 2018 at Reeves Memorial Hospital. She lived a long life of many accomplishments working hard to get an education in Business, Ballroom dancing, and gardening with her green thumb. Her most treasured was her family. She married Earl McBride who was from Scott, LA. in 1945. They had two children William and Deborah and spent most of their marriage together in El Dorado Arkansas and St. Louis Missouri. After Earl passed away Verna decide to spend her retirement years from working at Metropoliton Life Insurance Co. back at home in Farmerville. She resided on Lake D’Arbonne for the last 28 years of her life in her home with the last few at Arbor Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She is survived by one sister Valli Hicks (John) of Farmerville, her daughter Deborah Pruitt (James) of St. Elizabeth, Missouri, her grandchildren William Gilpin (Kristi) and great grandchildren Averi and Ty of Holts Summitt Missouri, and Kimberly Donnelly (Adam) of Fort Bragg North Carolina and her sister-in-law Junette Adcock of Farmerville.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Ellene Key Adcock, her husband Earl McBride, her son William C. McBride, her brother Billie Jo Adcock, and his son Cliff Adcock.
