The funeral of Charles Lee Bickley, a well known business man of the city, who died Saturday afternoon, was conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Second Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was a prominent member. Rev. R. L. Bachman, D.D., pastor of the church, officiated. Interment in New Gray cemetery.
The funeral was announced to beheld this morning, but on account of John McClure, a partner in business being unable to arrive from New York until 1:45 o'clock this afternoon, also delay in a sister's arrival, the service was postponed.
The deceased is survived by two little daughters, one sister, an aged mother and three brothers. The sister is Mrs. B. H. Taylor, of New York, and the brothers are C. T. Bickley and W. F. Bickley, of this city, and a younger brother, Grover Bickley, of Dungannon, Va.
The deceased was a member of the firm of Bickley, McClure & Co.
His death will be a great loss as he was a man of splendid business ability and was liked by all who knew him.
