Hazel Carrie Senne was born February 10, 1916 to William and Lena (Gieseke) Senne in Fraser Township, Martin County, Minnesota. She was baptized on March 5, 1916 and later confirmed on April 13, 1930 both in Fairmont. Hazel attended rural school in Rutland Township, Martin County. On June 14, 1937, she was united in marriage to Herbert Lange at the home of Hazel's parents in Fraser Township, Martin County, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived and farmed in Fraser Township later in Rolling Green Township until 1950 when they purchased a farm in Fox Lake Township, rural Sherburn. They farmed there until 1965 when they moved into Sherburn. They built a home in Sherburn and later built a lake home on Lake Andrew near Alexandria, Minnesota. Herbert died on April 20, 1997. Hazel continued to live in her home until becoming a resident of Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn. She was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sherburn and it's LWML. Hazel enjoyed being and working with her husband, Herb on many projects together. They enjoyed camping and traveling to many places.

Hazel died on Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, Minnesota at the age of ninety-one years.

Survivors include her two daughters, Nellie Brammeier and her husband, John, of rural Ceylon, Minnesota and Violet Gratz and her husband, Norman, of rural Fairmont, Minnesota; daughter-in-law, Mary Lange of rural Sherburn, Minnesota; thirteen grandchildren, Donald Brammeier and his wife, Susan, of rural Fairmont, Timothy Brammeier and his wife, Connie, of Holt, Missouri, Debra Liermann and her husband, James, of Rosemount, Minnesota, Lori Bierman and her husband, Patrick, of Mandan, North Dakota, David Gratz and his wife, Kathy, of Fairmont, Bruce Gratz and his wife, Lenita, of North Mankato, Daniel Gratz and his wife, Kris of Savage, Minnesota, Vicki Thompson and her husband, Michael, of Ankeny, Iowa, Mark Lange and his wife, Joanna, of Trimont, Kathy Potts and her husband, Duane, of Trimont, Kevin Lange and his wife, Lisa, of Sherburn, Todd Lange and his wife, Angela, of Sherburn and Brian Lange and his wife, Karla, of rural Welcome, Minnesota; thirty-six great-grandchildren; brother, Edgar Senne and his wife, Frieda, of Glencoe, Minnesota; sisters, Ruth Voelker of Fairmont, LaVonne Peters of Hankinson, North Dakota, Una Anderson of Fairmont; sister-in-law, Mildred Senne of Waseca, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends..

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herbert Lange; son, Howard Lange on December 21, 1990; brothers, Richard and Earl Senne; sister, Margaret Wegner and other relatives.
