William T. Freer, 90, passed peacefully in his sleep on August 4, 2015.
He was born on August 24, 1924, in Ticonderoga, NY, to the late Samuel and Irene Freer.
He was also predeceased by his beloved daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Dean; and his brother, Charles Freer.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carole Sue Freer; three sons, William Jr., Richard, and Robert Freer; three stepsons, Kevin, Douglas, and David Schwartz; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind many dear friends, both in Arizona and in New York.
After high school in New York City, he attended Pratt Institute of Art in Brooklyn, NY.
He served for four years in the US Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Wichita.
His entire civilian career was spent in the field of advertising as an account executive, specializing in sales and commercial art.
In 2004 he and his wife moved from Shokan, NY, to Tucson, AZ, where he enjoyed painting, golf, and long walks on a beautiful nature trail.
He will be missed by all who knew him. At his request there will be no service. He would like family and friends to celebrate his life in their own way.
