MARIE FLORENCE CARTER "Flo" Flo Carter passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on April 29, 2012. Flo was born in Willimantic, CT on December 16, 1931. She graduated from Windham High School and attended Eastern Connecticut State University. Married in 1959 in Glastonbury, Ct. She moved to Saint Louis with her husband and three children in 1968 and moved to Tequesta in 1972. Flo was active in all her children's activities, in her church and in many organizations which were aimed at building a better community. She leaves behind her loving family; husband, Sid Carter, daughter Rose Carter-Scala; two sons, Mark Carter and Philip Carter; grandchildren, Vinnie Scala, Sean Scala, Mike Scala, Morgan Carter and Ashley Carter. She will be greatly missed. Visitation hours will be at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home at 250 Center St., Jupiter, on May 1, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 482 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, FL at 3:30 PM on May 2, 2012. In lieu of flowers the family suggests to those wishing to express condolences that donations can be made in her name to the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation at 1210 S. Old Dixie Highway in Jupiter.
