Bertha (Bertie) received her education at Tremont elementary and Northwestern High School, in Springfield, Ohio. Later she received her certification as a license practical nurse and worked at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Ohio. Bertha (Bertie) received Christ as her lord and savior at Second Baptist Church, Springfield Ohio.
Bertha (Bertie) enjoyed playing card games and reading.
Bertha (Bertie) is survived by Erma (Sam) Hill and brother Allen (Ophelia) Wallace.
She was preceded in death brothers, Leon (Harriet) Wallace, Gilbert Wallace and Howard Wallace; and sisters Penelope (Paul) Stone and Jerri Harris.
During her early life Bertha (Bertie) married Clarence Berrien and later married Andrew Allison who preceded her in death.
Two sons preceded her in death, Clarence (Donnita) Berrien and Joseph Berrien.
Bertha (Bertie) leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter Deborah (Charles) Brandon, Anthony (Saundra) Berrien, Elwood Berrien and Robert (Jessica) Berrien; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend Mary Baker.
