Dean P. McGinn, 56, longtime resident of Green Bay, died Monday, May 12, 2008. He was born May 3, 1952, in Green Bay, to Donald and Lorraine (Panure) McGinn. In 1970, he graduated from East High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Radioman. After being honorably discharged in 1976, Dean attended NWTC where he received his accounting degree. While at school, he worked for U.P.S. and D.S.S. and also worked as a disc jockey. For the past 28 years he had been employed at U.P.S. Dean also ran an accounting business, landscaping business and snowplowing business. He owned and operated a number of rental properties. Dean enjoyed bowling, playing fast pitch softball, water-skiing, boating and loved to fly. He had been a member of the Civil Air Patrol and was also a member of Employers Support for the Guard and Reserves.

Survivors include his wife, Therese; nine children, Chad and Jennifer McGinn, Chicago; Thomas McGinn and his special friend, Nadia Olker, Milwaukee; Tony McGinn, Madison; Sarah and Jason Tuscher, Madera Ranch, Calif.; Katie McGinn-Hong and Brian Hong, Madison; Megan McGinn and her special friend, Collin Andrews, Green Bay; Deanna McGinn, Madison; Dean McGinn II; Madison; Kelly McGinn, Green Bay; his granddaughter, Marin and soon to be born grandson, Everett, and Chad's unborn child; his mother-in-law, Mary Todd, Green Bay; Therese's family, Paul and Linda Todd, Debbie and Brad Lessuise, Jill and Jeff McClure, Carrie and Dan Chaudoir, Jim and Pam Todd, Patty and Rick Sherman, Jody and Scott Lueck; many nieces and nephews; his god-parents, Cliff and Jean De Beck; his god-children, Brian McClure, Scott Sherman and Tommy Martell, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Warren Todd; a brother-in-law, Richard Miller; a niece, Jessica Chaudoir.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. The Funeral Service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.--Blaney Funeral Home
