Perry (Tommy) Hamilton Farrens, age 69, passed away peacefully in Atwater on Monday, November 26, 2018. Perry was born September 15, 1949, at Patterson Army Base Hospital in Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, to Beverly (Ben) Perry and Juanita Farrens. Perry joined the US Air Force in July 1969 and served in the Vietnam War. In 1971, Perry married his wife Faye, of 47 years, in Denver, CO. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for over nine years until he attended technical school and became a Flight Simulator Technician. Perry retired from the US Air Force in 1989. He later worked for the United States Postal Service until his second retirement.

Perry was resourceful and was a true jack-of-all-trades. He loved genealogy and building his family tree, his dogs, fishing from his boat, hunting, motorcycles and working on classic cars. He enjoyed telling stories and making people smile. He is survived by his wife, Faye; a son, Perry Jr. and his wife Marilyn; a daughter, Petina and her husband Jason; his four grandchildren: Lucas, Cameron, Hamilton and Melaina; and his siblings: Becky, Donna, Linda, Mike, Jimmy, Debbie, and David. Perry also has many nieces and nephews.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Perry touched are invited to his Celebration of Life at the Atwater VFW, located at 1390 Broadway, from 12:00 to 2:00 on Sunday, December 16th, 2018.

An Air Force Honor Guard Burial at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, in Dixon, at 5810 Midway Rd. is scheduled from 11:30 to 12:00 on December 17th, 2018.
