Mr. John Amos Bennett, 74, of Duck Hill, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1944 in Winona to Oscar and Effie Brunt Bennett. He was a member and a Deacon of Duck Hill Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of B&L Service Center, Former Fire Chief of Duck Hill, president of Mean Green Pulling Team and former board member of Dixie Iron Tractor Club.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 14, 2018, at Duck Hill Baptist Church interment will follow in the Duck Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at McKibben & Guinn and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Survivors include his wife Linda Bennett of Duck Hill; two daughters, Kim Rice(Mike) of Duck Hill and Jenna Nation(Paul) of Phoenix, AZ.; one sister, Carolyn Lott of Grenada and six grandchildren, Josh, Jason, and Kaylee Rice and Stephanie, David and Sarah Nation.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Josh Rice, Jason Rice, David Nation, Robert Boyette, Ben Box and Dennis Huff.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada, Mississippi.
