Charles Abner Rites Sunday

EAST PRAIRIE - Services for Charles A. Abner, 46, have been set tentatively for Sunday at 1:30 p.m. In the Shelby Funeral Chapel. Arrival of a son in Germany Is awaited. The Rev. Dale Pollard will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood cemetery. Abner died Thursday.

He was born Nov. 18, 1920 in Bell City. He farmed near here most of his life. His first wife, Mrs. Geneva Parker, preceded him in death. He married Geraldine Poole lones, who survives.

Other survivors are four daughters, Mrs. John Ray Henderson, Kay, Mabel and Carolyn Abner; three sons, Jimmy Abner, the son with the Army in Germany, David and Henry Abner; his mother, Mrs. Carrie Abner; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Parker; and one brother, Jake Abner; and four grandchildren.
