Greenville - Mrs. Hassie "Sally" McCary Rice Smith, formerly of Woodland Way and widow of Harold Calhoun Smith Sr., died Jan. 23, 2006, at the Foothills Presbyterian Home in Easley SC. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a former member of the Greenville Country Club, The Greenville Woman's Club, The Greenville Garden Club and The Cleveland Forest Garden Club. She served as a volunteer at the Saint Francis Hospital for 20 years. Mrs. Smith is survived by a nephew, Sidney Leigh Barnes and his wife, Barbara, of Los Alamos NM. Burial in Springwood Cemetery. The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
