Mr. LaRue was born Nov. 20, 1907, in Ingham, Neb., and had lived in Washougal for eight years.
He was a retired heavy-equipment operator who had worked in construction. Playing pool with his friends at the senior center and watching Blazer basketball on T.V. were his favorite activities.
Survivors include his wife Marvel, at home; two sons, Tom Huson of Bend and Billy LaRue of Vancouver; seven daughters, Lois Bass of Camarillo, Calif., Katherine Nash of Portland, Darlene Morris of Goldendale, Louise Bigsby of Kodiak, Alaska, Bethany Waters of Underwood, Wash., and Dawn Likness of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Geneva Anderson of Denver, Colo., and Mary Nash of Portland; one brother, John LaRue of Jacumba, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
