Fay worked the oilfields of Kansas and Oklahoma when times were really booming. He owned Fay's Recreation in Caney, which was a billiard and domino bar, when no ladies were allowed. Later in life he was employed by the Kansas Highway Dept.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maude, three children Dolores Fay, John Franklin and Kathy Ann Northweather Depriest,and one Grandson Jeffrey ALan Winget. He is survived by his wife Wilma of Caney,(since is deceased) children Kelly Northweather, Carolyn Hefner, Cherryl Winget Gist, Brenda Gaddy, Randy Eilers, Sandra Northweather, two step children Gary Coker and Carole Coker, ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
