Alexander Parley aka Perry Johnson was the ninth (9) son of Orson Thomas Johnson. His services were at Chichster Chapel at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles. Arrangements for the funeral were Bresee Brothers and Gillette Mortuary. Alexander actively directed the affairs of several corporations including the A.P. Johnson Company was in business with his brother Orson Thomas Johnson. Alexander per the death certificate passed away at 1001 S. Westminster Blvd. in Los Angeles, California. Alexander was married to Nancy J. Cains, on June 22, 1875 in Altona, a village of Knox County, Illinois. Alexander and Nancy had five children; Orson T. Johnson, A.P. Johnson Jr., Candace Elizabeth Johnson Booth, Eva Katherine Johnson Fudger and Mary M. Johnson Dickie. Alexander Johnson was involved in politics in 1884 and served Riverside and San Diego as a State Senator. The family per the 1910 census lived at 33 Westmoreland Place, Los Angeles with servants and a chauffeur. The newspaper obituary states place of birth was Peoria County, Illinois, but the death certificate stated the city of Farmington which is located on Coles County, Illinois.
