Lora Panos died suddenly at the age of 95 on the morning of Dec. 12 after a brief and unexpected illness.
Born Lora Cardoza, she graduated in 1940 from Fort Jones High School, then went on to Heald Business School in Sacramento, before supporting the War effort as a clerical assistant in San Francisco for the US Employment Office. Days after the end of the War, she married the love of her life, Lt. Charles Panos, USN, in 1945. Her life work was raising seven children, and loving her 18 grand children, and 12 great grand children.
