Harold Kellogg 71 Dies
Once Noted Voice Coach
Harold Kellogg 71 retired voice coach whose pupils included Hollywood's Shirley Temple died at 2:15 pm Saturday at his home 1424 S Adams. He has been ill with a heart condition about 11 years. Kellogg was born in Michigan. He toured many years with the De Reszke Quartet in the United States and Europe. Later the quartet traveled two seasons in this country and Canada with Will Rogers appearing in Fort Worth in 1925 and 1926. From 1927 to 1942 he lived in California where his voice pupils also included Irene Dunne and James Cagney. He was on the music faculty at Texas State College for Women in Denton seven years before moving to Fort Worth five years ago He was director of music at Hemphill Presbyterian Church and retired 2 1/2 years ago as a faculty member of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kellogg was a Mason. Survivors include his wife and a son Paul Kellogg a student at the University of Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at Harveson Cole Chapel with burial in Laurel Land.
