Nancy Jane Freeman, 81, of Basalt passed away December 16, 2018 surrounded by her family.

She was born October 6, 1937 in Spokane, Washington to Corey Dallas and Jacoba Tromp Scrimsher. She attended school in Idaho Falls.

Nancy married Frank Jensen Freeman on May 13, 1955 in Bone, Idaho.

She worked for the telephone company and retired to California after 30 years of service. Nancy and Frank spent 35 years in California before moving to Basalt.

She loved quilting, crafts, reading, knitting, crocheting, and traveling. She also enjoyed camping & fishing, especially in Island Park.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Frank, Basalt, two sons, Frank Lynn (Annette) Freeman, Wood Heights, MO, Corey Lee Freeman, Basalt, one daughter, Karin (Brady) Scott of Firth, sister, Martha (Johnny) Jones, Spokane, WA, brother, Bill (Gladys) Scrimsher, Colville, WA, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren with four more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter in law, Lori, and brother, Roger.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley. The family will meet with friends Friday from 1:00 till 1:45 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Basalt Cemetery.
