Born on April 29, 1934, he was the son of the late George Franklin Teat, Sr. and Elsie Ringold Teat. A lifelong resident of Queen Anne’s County, Mr. Teat graduated from Kennard High School and an automotive mechanic trade school before beginning his career with Con Agra. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Teat also worked at Friel’s Cannery and Princeton Turf. Mr. Teat enjoyed playing the trumpet and singing and could often be found spending his free time in the Town of Centreville.
He is survived by his nephew, Anthony Teat, of Washington, DC; a niece, Tanya Foreman and her husband, Anthony, of North Carolina; great nieces Tyana Teat and Antonía Foreman; cousins Ralph Deaton and Edna Teat; and a large and loving extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elson Teat.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 28 at the Mt. Zion UMC Church in Centreville, MD, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery, Centreville.
