Wade Eugene Asbill, 90, of Antioch Ch. Rd., Seagrove, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral Services, 3 PM, Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Antioch Christian Church, Seagrove.
Officiating, Rev. Bryan Maness, Rev. Gerald Ward, Rev. Brian Faircloth.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Wade was a native of Randolph County, and a member of the Antioch Christian Church. He was an avid poultry and cattle farmer and loved to tend the land. Wade enjoyed harvest time and his vegetable garden was so productive that he shared with family, friends, and neighbors. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed rabbit and bird hunting. Bluegrass music was Wade's passion and he was well known as a fiddle player with the Gospel Strings. He loved to visit area nursing homes to play for the residents. He was preceded in death by his infant, Lorie Asbill, parents, Stacy and Ruth Moran Asbill, brothers, Clyde Asbill, Harold Asbill, Paul Asbill, sisters, Wilma Asbill, Edna Hayes, Elsie Kiser, step-grandchildren, Randy Cain, Toby Cain.
Survivors: wife, Ether Hayes Asbill, daughters, Cindy Asbill Loggains, and husband, Gary, of Seagrove, Susan Asbill Richardson, and husband, Danny, of Seagrove, sons, Ricky Asbill, and wife, Laura, of Asheboro, Craig Asbill, and wife, Lori, of Seagrove, sisters, Jeanette Reeder, of Asheboro, Betty Macon, of Seagrove, brothers, Boyce Asbill, of Asheboro, Donald Asbill, of Seagrove, grandchildren, Andy Loggains, Eric Loggains, Leslie West, Brad Richardson, Celeste Asbill Humphrey, Seth Asbill, Samuel Asbill, three step-grandchildren, Tony Cain, John Cain, Betsy Cain, great-grandchildren, Aiden Loggains, Maggie Loggains, Landon Cox, Brandon Richardson, Mason West, Bentlee Marley, Layla Humphrey, several step-great grandchildren, one step-great great grandchild.
