Lydia worked as Manager/Legal Assistant for the Legal Department of the SE FL Flood Control District, along with her husband Ben, for over 35 years. They were two of the original six employees in the newly-formed state department. She was an avid professional bowler, winning many national, state, county and city tournaments and was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Professional Women's Bowling Association of Palm Beach County, Florida. She was also very active with the Stuart High School Class of 1942 alumni, attending every reunion through their 50th. Lydia died from emphysema.
