Services for Mrs. Lucy Beard, 83. who died after a long illness Sunday in Rockford Memorial hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, (CDT) in the Roscoe Methodist church and interment will be in Willwood burial park, Rockford.
Mrs. Beard and her late husband, Oliver Beard. lived in Rockford for a short time after their marriage on Aug. 25. 1884. They later operated farms near Hunter in Boone county and in the Roscoe community until retiring in 1913 and moving to Roscoe. Friends may call between 7 and 9 o'clock tonight at the Schutt-McFarlin-Saunders funeral home at Harvard.
