Born July 21, 1937 in Paris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Howard L. and Merriett (Koontz) Day. On May 12, 1957, she married Donald "Don" Allison in Paris, Illinois. Barb retired from Four County Mental Health as an Administrative Assistant to the Medical Director. She also formerly worked as a transcriptionist for Raj Clinics. Barb was also a substitute teacher for Pulaski and Cass School corporations. She was a member of Church of Christ at Logansport. She loved the Lord and was active in church, teaching children's Sunday school and leading various Women's groups. Barb had also completed some courses through Summit Theological Seminary in Peru. Barb enjoyed fishing, crocheting, cross stitching, making lap robes for local nursing homes and reading the Bible.
Survivors include her husband, Don Allison of Royal Center; son, John Allison (Michelle) of Tampa, Florida; brother, Howard Day Jr. (Rita) of Port Charlotte, Florida and sister-in-law, Delores Cartright-Tillman (Bob) of Royal Center. She was also preceded in death by son, David Allison; and sister, Sarah (Day) Mattingly.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Crematory, Royal Center Chapel with Minister Jeff Strite officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of Christ at Logansport Building Fund
