Warren Henry "Wren" Abernathy, II, 41, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, October 8, 1996, in Commerce, GA.

A native of Spartanburg, SC; son of Col. Warren Henry Abernathy (1923–2009) and Margaretta Scruggs Abernathy (1923–2005).

A member of Southside Baptist Church and graduate of the University of South Carolina.

A real estate agent and developer, co-owner of Hard Bodies Gym in Atlanta, co-owner of a fish hatchery in Saluda, and the owner of Big Bass Bait Ranch in Lake Hartwell.

Also survived by his sister, Dr. Marcia Duncan; maternal grandmother, Lunette Scruggs; two nephews, and one niece.

The family received friends from 1:30 - 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 10, 1996, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

The funeral followed at 3:00 pm in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Bobby Morrow and Dr. James Sampley; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
