Arnie Lee was the son of Charles Winfield Rosier and Anna Belle Spring Rosier, pioneer residents of Colebank. His father operated a local store, served as a constable, and undertaker for the community. Arnie grew up on the banks of Sandy Creek with his brothers Floyd, Charley, Earl and sisters Chloa, Bessie, and Minnie. He was a giant of a man, standing at 6' 5" tall in his prime, was red haired, and temperamental. He loved a good fight! On June 9, 1913 he married Ella Grace McDaniel, daughter of Newton Jasper McDaniel and Parthena Adaline Coffman McDaniel at Kasson, WV. They had eight children, only one of whom lived to be an adult...daughter Edith Ray Rosier, born in 1919. The young couple first lived at Colebank on his parents' farm, then later moved to Arden, WV where Arnie worked as a coal miner and mechanic. During WWII, Arnie moved his family to Baltimore where he found work at the Watson Foundry Company. After the war, Arnie and Ella Grace returned to WV where he died in the Grafton City Hospital in 1955 at age 67. He was first buried at the Ridgway Cemetery in Sinclair, Preston County, WV but Ella Grace had him moved to Mount Vernon Cemetery due to the difficulty accessing Ridgway, which sits high on a mountain.
