She was born on March 15, 1926 in Evanston, Illinois, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Slusarz) Bieda. Dorothy received her bachelor's degree from Loyola University, Chicago; a degree in nursing from Holy Family; and her master's degree from the University of Wisconsin. Dorothy was an RN Instructor for Waukesha County Tech College for over 20 years. She was a member of the Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association. Dorothy enjoyed puzzles, casinos and crafts. She was a very kind and giving person.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: Steven (Mary Jo) Bieda and their daughter: Katie, Green Bay; a very special niece: Helen Patenaude, Oconto; her Manitowoc family: Barbara Becker, Mary Becker, Sandra Bull and her children: Lynn Lemberger, Rosie Nelson and godchild Wendy LeVene. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary (Slusarz) Bieda, many brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, December 28, 2018 at Blessed Angela Chapel at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Pleier. Following the service, cremation will occur at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Dorothy will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later time.
