To the memory of Robert Honywood MONYPENNY Esquire late Captain in the 4th "The Kings Own" Regiment of Foot who died at Bangalore, East Indies on the 8th of March 1839 aged 29.

This Tablet is erected by Lieutenant Colonel Breton and his brother officers in remembrance of his many estimable qualities and a token of affectionate regard.
