DOYLE, MARY W. (BRUEN), 84, formerly of Sunny Cove Drive, Warwick, died on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Doyle, Jr., a former Warwick City Councilman.

Born in County Roscommon, Ireland, a daughter of the late Michael and Winifred (Carty) Bruen, she lived in Warwick since 1952.

Mrs. Doyle was employed by the City of Warwick in the Tax Collectors Office for 15 years, retiring in 1991. She was previously a supervisor at New England Telephone Co. in Providence for 10 years, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. A communicant of Ss. Rose & Clement Parish in Warwick, she was a member of its Rosary & Altar Guild, and served as a volunteer at St. Rose of Lima School.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean M. Doyle of Braintree, MA, and Patricia A. Fountain, and her husband Kenneth Fountain, Jr., of Foster; two sisters, Bridget Cleere and Marcella Bruen, both in Ireland; three grandchildren, Kenneth Joseph Fountain, III, Kristin Ann Fountain, and Katherine Doyle Fountain; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Bruen and Ann Hayden.
