Bernice Anna Literski, age 88, died peacefully Tuesday morning, December 25, 2018 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Bernice was born on April 28, 1930 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Mrotek) Literski. Bernice attended St. Andrew's Catholic Grade School, Shoto Elementary, Two Rivers Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1948 from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc.

Her finest hours were spent serving the parish of St. Anne of Francis Creek as a lector, communion distributor, and chairperson of picnics and funeral dinners. She was a member of the St. Anne Altar Society serving for a period of time as President. The past few years she was privileged to attend Wednesday morning Mass and Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament. A faith-filled wish of hers would be for all Christians to, one day, bend on the same knee.

Survivors include her children: David (Roxanne) Doucha, Mishicot, Jean Doucha (Boyd Barber), Winnipeg, Dean (Mary) Doucha, Denmark, Paul Reif, Milwaukee as well as step-children: Brian (Ruth) Reif, Mishicot, Ron (Lorri) Reif, Mishicot, Randy (Marilyn Greiner) Reif, Wausau, Debra (Dan) Voss, Potter, eight beloved grandchildren: Andrea Doucha Peltier, Eric (Vicki) Doucha, Trisha (Justin) Casper, Rachel Barber Rand, Delaney (Haylan Jackson) Barber, Hannah (Brian) Krejcarek, Rebecca and Jonathon Reif, also her great grandchildren: William and Rosalie Peltier, Taylor and Sawyer Doucha, Ava Casper, Jeremy and Jessica Rand, Guthrie Barber, Cal Krejcarek. Bernice was blessed to have many nieces and nephews and their families. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, seven Literski brothers and sisters-in law: Arnold and Dorothy, Hugo and Dorothy, Melvin (Nick) and Bernice, Eugene and Dorothy, Erwin (Turk), Arthur, Jerome, one sister and brother-in-law: Lorraine (Walter) Flaim, as well as some nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. Rev. Jeffrey J. Briones will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
