Two Rivers - Althea M. Krueger, age 94, a Two Rivers resident, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Northland Lodge of Two Rivers.

Althea was born in the Town of Easton, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Rev. John Henry and Henrietta (Miller) Nau. She was a graduate of Wausau High School with the class of 1941 and then later graduated from the local beauty school. Althea worked as a hair stylist in Green Bay and Luxemburg and eventually opened her own business. She owned and operated Althea's Primrose Beauty Shoppe in Luxemburg for over 17 years and had a loyal following of clients. As a preacher's daughter, her family then moved to Montpelier. As part of the war effort, Althea started writing to service men during WWII. One of those men was Orville Krueger. Over the course of two years they fell in love and were married six months after he returned from the war on June 22, 1947 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Montpelier. As a family they enjoyed traveling and camping within the United States and abroad, especially for the Nau family reunions in Germany. After moving to Mishicot she was the church secretary at Good Shepherd in Two Rivers, where she made many close friends. After her husband's retirement, they enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona. Over the course of 67 years together, Althea and Orville were blessed with six children, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Lon and Maryanne Krueger, Scottsdale, AZ, Jeffrey and Sue Krueger, Livonia, MI; four daughters and sons-in-law: Jansie and Gary McMahan, South Bend, IN, Holly and Pat Server, Green Bay, Lisa and Doug Zahorik, Kaukauna, Myrna and Tom Krajnik, Mishicot; twelve grandchildren: Elly (Ryan) Moore, Molly McMahan, Heidi (Patrick) Marek, Max Krueger (fiancée Natalie Smith), Erik Koch, Abby Server (Ryan Scott), Tyler Server, Randy (Andrea) Zahorik, Jenna (Nathan) Ihssen, Sam (Megan) Krajnik, Kenny Krajnik (fiancée Rachael Wheeler), Elizabeth Krajnik; five great grandchildren: Landon, Luke, Conner, Esmay, and Raelyn; and one brother and two sisters-in-law: Virgil and Ardis Nau, Lynn Nau.
