Roy Lloyd Sengbusch, age 85, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 with family at his side.

Born September 28th, 1932 to Hugo and Esther (Bruegge) Sengbusch in Denmark, WI. Roy attended Denmark Grade School and High School. He was in the US Army National Guard from July 1949 through March 1950. Roy then joined the US Navy from August 1950 and was discharged September 1953. He served in the Korean War on the USS Edward H Allen.

On January 23rd, 1954 he married Shirley Mae Blohowiak at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in the town of Eaton.

Roy worked at Jahnke Beverage (Kay) in Green Bay, Bay Ship Builders in Sturgeon Bay, WI and Ecklund Trucking as a over the road driver.

Roy and Shirley currently resided in Fond du Lac. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, and his five children; Keith (Gail) of Springbrook, WI, Bruce (fiance Teri Morden) of Green Bay, WI, Cyndi (Robert) Oliver of Tucson, AZ, Brian of Springbrook, WI, and Debi Lutzke of Plymouth, WI. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; Tara (Chris) Duwe, Christina Laurent, Nina (Jeff) Gross, Nick (fiance Anna Cayemberg) Sengbusch, Ashley (Paul) Gonnering, Bliss Sengbusch, and Casey (Sean) Levrich. Also his four great-grandchildren; Zoe Sengbusch, Drake Sengbusch, Finnegan Gross, and Levi Levrich. He is further survived by his brother, Norman Sengbusch, and his sister, Bonnie Klinzing.

Roy was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer Laurent, his parents, Hugo and Esther Sengbusch, his brother, Ralph Sengbusch, his sister-in-law, Marcy Sengbusch, brother-in-law, Loren Klinzing and nephews, Eugene and Junior Sengbusch.

He is further preceded by his in laws, Peter and Mary Blohowiak, his son-in-law, Wayne Lutzke, his in-laws, Cyril and Florence Blohowiak, Kenneth and Elaine Blohowiak and nephew, Randy Blohowiak and niece Luann Blohowiak.

Pallbearers will be: Nick Sengbusch, Chris Duwe, Sean Levrich, Paul Gonnering, Drake Sengbush and Jeff Gross. Honorary pallbearers will be: Finnegan Gross, Levi Levrich and Zoe Sengbusch.

Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere, on Wednesday, November 1, from 4-6:30pm with a prayer service to conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the SS. Cyril and Methodius Faith Community Chapel, 3077 S. County Hwy T, Town of Poland (Green Bay), from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the SS. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Harbor Haven Rehabilitation Center of Fond du Lac for their professionalism and kindness, during this trying time.
