October 03, 1942 - December 30, 2018 Larry Duane Hartman, 76, of Connersville, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at his residence. He was born on October 3, 1942, in Connersville, and is the son of the late Loyd Hartman and Susie Mae Thomas Hartman. On June 13, 1998, he married Jean Mendell in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Larry had worked as a lineman for Duke Energy for 37 years. He was a member of the Eagles and the NRA. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and gardening. He loved to cook with his granddaughter, Amber.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; a daughter, Tonya Snyder, of Dayton, OH; two sons, Max (Marilyn) Hartman, of Deland, FL, and Travis (Lyndsay) Smiley, of Connersville; eight grandchildren, Amber (Matt), Morgan, Alex (Tashia), Megan (Ronald), Ashley (Matt), Wyatt, Gracie, and Raelynn; seven great-grandchildren, Kaizer, Korbin, Christian, Connor, Daniel, Temperance, and Luna, as well as his best friends, Patches, Sissy, and Sadie.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Landyn, and two brothers, Jerry Hartman and infant, Max Hartman.
Visitation for Larry will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. The funeral will be on Friday, January 4, at 11:00am, at the funeral home, with Pastor Richie Ware officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
