Elbridge Doane, the son of Cheney Doane and Lorinda Green, served as a Private in Company F 15th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. He lived most of his later years in National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.
In 1922, he was either discharged, or moved, from Topeka, Kansas. He was reportedly divorced at the time of his death in Joplin, Jasper, Missouri in Mar 1925. I suspect he married Martha Riggs McGinnis, widow of Stephen M. McGinnis. She died one year prior to him, in the same location.
