Born Oct. 28, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Dec. 21, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the seventh child born to Frank Ladd and Pearl (Glidewell) Ladd. Louise was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings, Jewell Curtis of Ada, Paul and Othel Ladd both of Tulsa. Evelynl Abel of Tulsa, Lucille McCutcheon of Tulsa and a baby sister Ethel Mae Ladd, six months old. Also her first husband Thomas Carl Buttrey, and a daughter Janice Louise Tiger of Tulsa and her son and Louise's grandson, Christopher Dean Bishop of Tulsa. Louise also survived her second husband Hank Walje of Tulsa.
Louise was a long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a home maker, and a wonderful cook and loved to bake. She was very independent and so thankful she could still live by herself, she had a great memory and loved to drive around town, she could tell you where every street and store was. She was always happy and never complained, she loved to read poetry and funny stories and was always calling to tell of a new one she had read.
Louise was always called "Boots" by her family and friends, it was a nick name her father gave to her when she was a little girl because he had bought her a little pair of boots and so she was loving called "Boots" from then on.
She is survived by her son 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
