CMSGT Zech was born in Julian, Nebraska the son of the late Helmut Wilhelm Zech and Erna Clara Thomas Zech. Carl is predeceased by loving wife of 49 years, Carol Zech, and a daughter, Davette Tuttle and his great-grandson, Christopher Michael Kimbal, his brothers, Authur Conrad Zech and Herbert "Herbie" Thomas Zech. Carl is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and their children in his home state of NE.
Also left behind to mourn his loss are daughters, Carlene (Randy) Waller, Terri Smith and his grandson Joshua Aaron Smith of Smyrna, Tennessee and Loyce (Jim) Shurling of Dallas, GA
Survived by his second wife, Vestine B. Zech of Cochran GA; step daughter, Charlotte Humenik of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 2 step sons, Todd Neal of Getna, Nebraska and Wesley Neal of Cumming, GA; and their children.
