Born in Celina on June 2, 1924, he was a son of the late Lee Shrygley and Della (Smith) Stone, and the husband of Marilyn (Martin) Stone, who survives.
Other than his wife, survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbie Stone, Celina; a brother, Wade Stone, Celina; a sister, Elizabeth Pendleton, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Curtis and Kelly Stone, Cookeville, Tenn.
Burial was at the John. H. Stone Cemetery.
