Margaret Constance Dove Padgett, 92, of Colonial Beach, VA formerly of Alexandria, VA passed away Friday, January 4, 2019. She was born August 12, 1926 in Alexandria, VA to the late Robert Elmer and Olive Catherine Owens Dove. She attended George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA and was employed by Giant Foods. She enjoyed reading books, watching baseball especially the Washington Senators and then the Nationals, and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #10574 in Colonial Beach, VA for 26 years.
Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Leroy C. Padgett. She is survived by her 3 sons; Donald C. Padgett, Keith R. Padgett, and Kevin L. Padgett; 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd., Triangle, VA 22173. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Storke Funeral Home-Nash & Slaw Chapel, 11089 James Madison Pkwy., King George, VA 22485.
