Raymond (Ray) was born the fourth child of five to Guy Harry & Mabel Alice Gray Harris in Fayetteville, AR. Ray had one brother Marion who was killed during WWII and three sisters Jerry, Eileen and Dorothy who have all preceded him in death. He married Nancy Jane Kaufman on the 13th of June 1942 in Los Angeles then enlisted in the U.S. Army on the 11th of November 1942. Ray's time in the Army was spent in Europe, mostly Italy. When he came home from the war they made their home in California where he and Nancy had two boys James David (Jim) and Brian Keith Harris. Ray occupation was a truck driver, which would take he and his family to Oklahoma. Nancy passed away in 1981 after Ray had retired and bought property in his home state of Arkansas. He would marry Bobby Jean Crabb on June 2, 1982, in Fayetteville where they lived until his death.
