Stephen H. Allen, 68, beloved husband, loving and devoted father and Grampa, died from complications of Parkinson's' Disease on Jan. 4, 2019, at Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.
Stephen was born on March 12, 1950 in Sanford, the son of Clifford H. and Jessie (Bickford) Allen, the middle child between his two sisters, Sharon and Joan.
Steve attended USM and met his future wife, Laurie Creighton, as they both were studying to become teachers. Following graduation from USM in 1974, they both began their teaching careers together. Later, he went out on his own and started S.H. Allen Exterior Works. He retired when he was 60 years old from Emery Waterhouse.
Steve is lovingly survived by his wife of 43 years, Laurie Allen of Limington; his son, Jeffrey and wife, Jennifer and his daughter, Kristen Gervais and husband, Richard, both of Limington; his grandchildren, Olivia Gervais, Brayden and Brianna Allen; his mother, Jessie Allen of Alfred; and his two sisters, Sharon Dowe of Sanford and Joan Rand of Alfred; and many nieces and nephews.
