According to Eliza's grandmother's (Eliza Jane Banks Magowan) diary, Eliza was born about 10:00 PM on Feb 27, 1856.

Eliza Davis Magowan Anderson Marshall was a graduate of Vassar College. Her first marriage was to James Anderson and her second marriage was to Robert Marshall.
