MORGAN G HOGGE, RETIRED SCHOOL OFFICIAL DEAD

Morgan G Hogge, 73 years old, former assistant superintendent of schools who retired in 1934, 32 years in the Chicago School system, died last evening at the Swedish Covenant Hospital.

Hogge and his wife, Hattie, resided at the Sovereign Hotel, 6200 Kenmore Avenue.

They returned to the city a week ago from a vacation in Florida.
In his years as an educator, Mr Hogge led an unsuccessful fight to put the schools on a quarterly basis, with a fifth term in the summer months.
He is survived by his widow and a daughter Mrs Alice Hogge Baer.
