Mr. Rice was born Dec. 17, 1951, in Natchez, the son of Floyd Rice Jr. and Pearline Johnson Rice.He attended Natchez-Adams public schools and was retired from The Blain Company. He was also a member of Milford Baptist Church, MBPFB Society and LF&C Society.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie B. Rice; one daughter, LaSonya Morgan Barker; one son, Eric Morgan; two granddaughters, DeAdra LaShae Morgan and Danielle Barker; one grandson, LaJairien Morgan; one brother, Ernest Johnson and wife, Ollie, of Chicago; three sisters, Rosie L. Woods, Velma Rice McCray and husband, Wilbert, and Dora Rice Stanton, all of Natchez; two uncles; five aunts; and a number of other relatives and friends.
