Jeanne M. Fortner, 53, of Anderson, died May 26, 2007, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born Feb. 14, 1954, in Anderson, where she lived her entire life.
She was a graduate of Madison Heights High School, Class of 1972.
She was a homemaker.
Jeanne loved crocheting, flower gardening, knickknacks and holidays.
Survivors include two children, Jesse and wife Lisa Fortner of Anderson and Uriah Fortner of New Castle; her mother, Bonnie (Forney) Smith of Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Doug Phillips of Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Lisa Smith of Anderson; a granddaughter, Chloe Fortner of Anderson; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Wayne A. Smith; three sons, who died at birth; and grandparents, Ruth and Everett Smith and Lilith and Everett Forney.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson, officiated by the Rev. Bill Ledbetter. Burial will take place at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given, through the funeral home, to the family of Jeanne M. Fortner.
