Emily F. Jerzak age 98, of Stevens Point passed away Wednesday February 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Emily will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday February 23, 2018 at Holy Spirit Parish. Rev. Thomas Lindner will officiate. A Rosary will be prayed for Emily at 9:30 AM followed by visitation, until the Mass on Friday at the church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Catholic Cemetery. Shuda Funeral Services is assisting the family.
Emily was born January 23, 1920 in Polonia, the daughter of August and Martha (Kedrowicz) Rozek. She attended Polonia schools. She moved to Milwaukee as a young adult and worked there during WWII. While in Milwaukee she met Jacob Jerzak, the couple married on December 1, 1945 at Sacred Heart Church. The couple settled in Stevens Point and raised their family. She later worked at St. Michaels Hospital until retirement. She enjoyed baking bread, making cookies, and baked the best apple pie! She also enjoyed playing cards and most of all loved being with her family.
Emily is survived by her four children: Sandra (Jerry) Bonfigt; Thomas (Bernice) Jerzak; Daniel (Linda) Jerzak; Susan (Paul) Schwab. Nine grandchildren: Becky (Ken) Seis; Brad (Amy) Bonfigt; Jacob (Heather) Jerzak; Juliana (Matt) Eberhardt; Adam (Lauren) Jerzak; Jeremiah Jerzak; Isaac Schwab (McKenzie Richardson): Sarah Schwab; Aaron Schwab. Seven great grandchildren: Phillip Seis, Trevor Seis, Jackson Jerzak, Virginia Jerzak, Olivia Jerzak, Meagan and Matthew Bonfigt. Her sister Therea Rozek. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, and three brothers.
