Karla Jo Houser, 63, of Harrisville, departed peacefully, January 13, 2019 at her residence.
She was born June 11, 1955 at West Union, WV, the daughter of the late Edward Murl “Red” Fox and Ivalillie Lang Fox Potts.
Karla had been employed by Sleep Inn, Ellenboro and Houser and Daughters Transport. She was a beloved mother, mammaw, sister and friend who will be remembered for her incredible work ethic and nurturing nature. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to dance. She will be missed by her family friends and co-workers.
She is survived by three daughters, Amy Leasure (Troy) of Paden City, Jonnay Houser of Harrisville, and Mara Colkett of Harrisville; friend Chadd Wagal; grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Jace and Johnara; sisters, Kathy Zimmerman, Nola Hardbarger and Ruth Dickson; brothers, Russell Fox and Doug Fox; half brothers, Bill Reaser, Steve Reaser and Kevin Potts; and half sister, Roberta Potts.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Mark Houser; sisters, Starlene Norman and Judy Keeney; and brother, Michael Fox.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Raiguel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Houser family cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 5-8 PM.
