Charles R. Burket
May 15, 1948 – Jan. 13, 2019

Charles R. Burket, 70, Altoona, died Sunday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Luther and Esther (Garland) Burket.
On Dec. 15, 1973, he married Judy M. Stonerook.
Surviving are his wife; three children: Jennifer Noel and husband, Derick, Brian Burket and wife, Brenda, and Tim Burket and wife, Mandie; seven grandchildren; a brother, John of Everett; and a sister, Judy in Oregon.
He was preceded in death by brother, Richard.
Charles was a 1968 graduate of Altoona Area High School and retired from F.L. Smithe Machine Co., Duncansville. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He enjoyed walking in cemeteries with his wife on their genealogy treks and antique shopping in Virginia.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, Pastor Stewart W. McClelland officiating.
Interment will be made in Dry Hill Cemetery, Woodbury.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charles’ memory may be given to American Cancer Society, Blair Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
