Mrs. Luke Emond, 55, of 1541 - 22nd. St., Two Rivers, died at 5 p.m.
Tuesday at the Two Rivers Municipal Hospital, where she had been a
patient since Saturday.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Klein & Stangel,
Inc., Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Two Rivers,
the Rev. W.G. Haase officiating. Internment will be in Pioneers' Rest
Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Emond, nee Hilda Bernhardt was born in Two Rivers on Jan. 8, 1900,
a daughter of the late Albert and Mrs. Sophie Mandel Bernhardt. She was
married on June 22, 1919 to Luke Emond.
Besides her husband and mother, she leaves four sons, two brothers, Harry
of Flint, Mich., and George Bernhardt of the Town of Two Rivers, and two
grandchildren.
For many years Mrs. Emond was a member of the Dorcas Society and Study
Club of St. John's Church. Members of both groups will attend the funeral
in a body.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Marriage of Luke/Hilda Emond

The marriage of Miss Hilda Bernhardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Bernhardt and Luke Emond, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Emond took place
Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church. Attending couples were
George Bernhardt and Miss Esther Lauber and Victor Emond and Miss
Dorothy Tegge.
